Carved Ceramic Ornaments: White & Green

Service Description

Get festive making these beautiful ornaments. Using cookie cutters and carving tools, you will learn how to take a flat slab of clay to make your own set of ornaments. In this class, everyone receives an 8"x8" clay slab. You can choose from our large assortment of cookie cutters to cut out as many ornaments as fits on your slab or bring your own...generally6-10 depending on the size of the cutters you choose. You will receive our tips and tricks for carving and decorating your ornaments. Finally they get smoothed and each ornament gets a jump ring that makes hanging breeze. In this class, we use a beautiful speckled white clay with a green glaze. If you choose to carve your ornaments, glaze will be painted into the carvings. Uncarved ornaments will be have a solid glaze. This class has predetermined clay and glaze combinations. We cannot customize glazes for every ornament. If you would like a different color combination, please sign up for a different class. Instructor glazes and fires your creations after class. Pieces are available for pick-up December 13. Ages 10+ Long nails make working with clay difficult and frustrating. Please trim your nails close before class. Clay can be messy. Please dress accordingly and bring an apron if desired.

Cancellation Policy

To cancel or reschedule, please contact 4 days before class. I staff and purchase materials for scheduled classes based on their capacity. Unfortunately, I am unable to refund cancelled or rescheduled classes. You are awarded full class credit toward a future class if cancelled 4 days or before. If cancelling or rescheduling within the 4 day period, no class credit can be given.
