Incense Chimney and Match Holder

Service Description

In this class learn to make your own hand built incense chimney with match holder. Using texture tools, you will learn how to clay slabs and coils to cut, sculpt and assemble the pieces into a cute chimney for your palo santo or incense cones. You also get to make a matching carved cup to hold your matches...if you use strike anywhere matches they will light right on the surface. At the end of the class you choose your glaze and our team will fire and glaze your chimney and match holder and get it back to you a couple weeks later. We have a target pick up date no later than December 22 so you can enjoy your set for the holidays. In this class, we use a beautiful red/brown clay with a choice of your glaze. Glaze will be applied to the interior and carved details. Instructor glazes and fires your creations after class. Pieces are available for pick-up December 22. Ages 12+ Long nails make working with clay difficult and frustrating. Please trim your nails close before class. Clay can be messy. Please dress accordingly and bring an apron if desired.

Cancellation Policy

To cancel or reschedule, please contact 4 days before class. I staff and purchase materials for scheduled classes based on their capacity. Unfortunately, I am unable to refund cancelled or rescheduled classes. You are awarded full class credit toward a future class if cancelled 4 days or before. If cancelling or rescheduling within the 4 day period, no class credit can be given.
