MAY/JUN Mugs+Pourover: Tuesdays

Service Description

In this 6 week course, you’ll discover the techniques to improve your throwing, making different styles of handles with Connor and how to throw and trim a functional pourover with Sara. This class is designed for students who have taken pottery Wheel and want to hone their skills and learn the specific techniques Connor and Sara use to make a Pourover and Mug set. Lessons are as follows: Week 1: Throwing
 Week 2: Trimming + Attachments Week 3: Glazing Week 4: Throwing Week 5: Trimming + Surface Decoration Week 6: Glazing Classes meet once a week for 2 hour sessions. Course fee includes everything you need: clay, use of studio tools, a rainbow of cone 5 glazes to choose from. In each class session, you will build on what you learned and made the previous week, so we strongly advise you to make sure you’ll be able to attend all class sessions before signing up. It is especially important that you attend the first class, so if you think you might have to miss week 1, please consider enrolling in another session. We do not offer make up classes at this time. Long nails can make working with clay very frustrating. We recommend cutting them close before attending class. Also, clay is messy. Please dress accordingly and bring along an apron and a towel/rag for wiping your hands throughout the process. Lastly, we work with moving equipment and long hair needs to be pulled back.
