My name is Sara Beckton
Clay Parlor Community Ceramics Studio was created to share my passion for making with my Ventura community. Creating my small ceramics goods company, Parlor Room Goods, has been a dream and now I want to share the ability and create with clay with the community that has fostered my creative growth.
I received my BFA in Spatial Arts from San Jose State University and attended (for a short bit) the Graduate Architecture Program at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. I have worked at the San Jose Museum of Art, the Bay Area Glass Institute and the Community School of Music and Arts helping people of all ages make their creative dreams a reality. I am excited to do exactly that here in my hometown of Ventura.
