Service Description
12/19 • 7pm • Ages 12+• 1.5 Hr Handbuilding Workshop: Craft something worth toasting—your own coasters! In this workshop, you will learn the sgraffito technique of coloring and carving away your own custom design in a set of clay coaster. Each student receives 4 pre-formed circle coasters. Students choose a color of glaze, paint and then carve either a design of their own or one provided. After class, coasters dry slowly, then are fired. They will be available for pickup 2-3 weeks after workshop. In this class, we use a beautiful speckled tan clay with an glaze color of your choosing. Instructor fires your creations after class. It takes several weeks to slow dry and fire these pieces. Coasters are available for pick-up 2-3 weeks after class at our Pottery Wheel location Location. Ages 12+ Long nails make working with clay difficult and frustrating. Please trim your nails close before class. Clay can be messy. Please dress accordingly and bring an apron if desired.

No refunds are given. You may receive full credit toward a future class if you cancel 4 days prior to give us enough time to fill your space. To cancel or reschedule, please visit our contact page on our website and select RE:cancel/reschedule 4 days before class. Instagram IG is not a suitable way to contact. Please do not email to cancel. It is easier for your requests to be seen if they are all in one place. I staff and purchase materials for scheduled classes based on their capacity. We do not refund cancelled or rescheduled classes. You are awarded full class credit toward a future class if cancelled 4 days or before. If cancelling or rescheduling within the 4 day period, no class credit can be given.
