11/14 • 7pm • Ages 12+• 1.5 Hr Handbuilding Workshop: Elevate your entertaining this season with a custom hand carved platter perfect for holiday cookies. In this workshop, you will learn the sgraffito technique of coloring and carving away your own custom design in a clay platter. Each student receives a pre-formed platter. Students choose a color of underglaze, paint and then carve either a design of their own or one provided. After class, platter dry slowly, then are fired, clear glazed and fired again. They will be available for pickup 3-4 weeks after workshop. In this class, we use a beautiful speckled tan clay with an underglaze color of your choosing. Instructor glazes and fires your creations after class. It takes several weeks to slow dry, fire, glaze and re-fire these pieces. Platters are available for pick-up 3-4 weeks after class at our Pottery Wheel location Location. Ages 12+ Long nails make working with clay difficult and frustrating. Please trim your nails close before class. Clay can be messy. Please dress accordingly and bring an apron if desired.

No refunds are given. You may receive full credit toward a future class if you cancel 4 days prior to give us enough time to fill your space. To cancel or reschedule, please visit our contact page on our website and select RE:cancel/reschedule 4 days before class. Instagram IG is not a suitable way to contact. Please do not email to cancel. It is easier for your requests to be seen if they are all in one place. I staff and purchase materials for scheduled classes based on their capacity. We do not refund cancelled or rescheduled classes. You are awarded full class credit toward a future class if cancelled 4 days or before. If cancelling or rescheduling within the 4 day period, no class credit can be given.
